FPL Gameweek 2 Draft

Home » FPL Gameweek 2 Draft

The long-awaited start of the English Premier League season has finally arrived, along with the Fantasy Premier League (FPL). The competition to win an iPhone 14 Pro began this past weekend, with FPL managers selecting their 11-man teams in hopes of earning more points. As usual, FPL managers were surprised by some team rotations, with the most notable being Arsenal’s decision to bench Gabriel Magalhães. Many managers, including us and 33.7% of others, had drafted him for Game Week 1. Gabriel only came on as a substitute and earned a single point. Now, the question is whether to keep or sell him, so stay with us as we answer that.

BetPro Insider FPL Game Week 1 Points

Betpro Insider FPL Game Week 1 Points

It seems that Game Week 1 was not easy for us, as our score of 81 points is only slightly above average. We are currently ranked at position 572,579 overall, scoring 46 points shy of the Game Week 1 winner. After analyzing the matches and the points picked up per position, we can say that we fell short defensively, but our attack was excellent. Our midfield was average, but we still plan to go with the same midfield except for Foden.

Who to Sell

If you are asking yourself, “Who do I sell in the fpl”? Check our recommendations.

Mason Mount (7.0 M)

Mason Mount

The Manchester United attacking midfielder did not have the best start at his new club, as he failed to create any chances, win any tackles, complete any crosses in the box, win any aerial duels, or make any accurate crosses. Therefore, we suggest that you consider selling him going into Game Week 2.

Kevin De Bruyne (10.4 M)

The Belgian player sustained a hamstring injury during their opening match against Burnley, which is a setback after recovering from an injury sustained during the UCL final. He had to be substituted in the first half, and it is currently unclear how long he will be out for. Therefore, we recommend that you sell him.

Jurrien Timber (5.0)

Arsenal’s new versatile defender suffered a knee injury in the first half of their opening Premier League match. Prior to the injury, he was solid at the back in Arteta’s new 3-1-6 system. It is currently unclear how long he will be out for, but if you have him in your team, we suggest that you consider selling him.

Who to Keep ?

Gabrriel Magalhaes

Although the Arsenal defender started on the bench in the opening match, we believe that he still has a chance to play. With Jurrien Timber possibly out for a couple of weeks and a lack of other options on the left, Arteta may choose to play Gabriel at the back. If the tactical rotation continues in Game Week 2, then you can consider selling him. However, at the moment, we do not recommend selling him.

Who to Buy

Harvey Barnes

The new Newcastle new winger had a fantastic start at his new club, scoring one goal and assisting another in just 22 minutes of play. Priced at 6.5, we believe that he can be a great value for money and a valuable addition to your team.

Axel Disasi

Disasi had an excellent start to the Premier League. He was solid at the back and provided options when Chelsea had the ball. Having played the full 90 minutes in the opening match and scoring the equalizer in the so-called “Caicedo Match-up,” we believe that the 5.0 rated defender stands a chance to earn you points and keep you in reach of our grand prize, the iPhone 14.

We only have one free transfer available for Game Week 2. Initially, we considered bringing in Harvey Barnes, but we decided to go with Lucas Diaz instead. Diaz has earned his spot in Liverpool’s starting 11, and we find it interesting that we didn’t have any Liverpool players in our Game Week 1 team. With a price tag of 7.5, Diaz scored a goal and earned 8 points in the previous week, making him a good value for his price. Therefore, we have chosen him as our BetPro insider pick for Game Week 2.

Conclusion

We hope that the updates on these players have been helpful. Our thoughts and selections are carefully made by our experts. Remember, the race to the grand prize is still on, and we are still offering weekly prizes to the weekly winners. In Game Week 1, we had three winners who tied at 88 points. They will each receive mobile airtime, and our monthly winner will receive $30 worth of cash. Stay with us for more coverage and news. FPL player price changes coming soon!
